Heathkin on P4P+By: John on 16 July 2017Great machine. You will have many hours of fun whether you use it for fun or business. If your funds don't stretch to the P4P+, the P4A+ is also a great machine, HOWEVER, don't underestimate the benefit of being able to switch between the 2400 - 2483 GHz range and the 5.725 - 5.850 GHz range. I work for Local Government and we use drones (P4P & P4P+) extensively for Weeds inspections and Infrastructure inspections. The Pro version is far better around the Towers and Water & Sewerage areas than my Advanced model due to the ability to switch between the frequencies. I still get by with the Advanced but you do notice the difference. Anti-Avoidance is the other big difference! After a while I found that for most of the work I do, the Anti-Avoidance system gets in the way but when I started, it was invaluable. The Advanced Anti-Avoidance is only forward facing so you have to be very careful. Touch wood, I have not damaged any Phantom yet, and I hope to continue with that record for a long time. I don't know how long we will be able to continue to work as free as we can in the < 2 Kg class. I guess that depends on the less caring of the drone community. I live and work in country NSW so there are wide open spaces to fly, away from Controlled Air Space. For work I am frustrated by the lack of communication from Officials in our governing body when it comes to trying to do work in close proximity to our local airport. I can only hope that will improve over time. It must be very frustrating living and working in the city where it is difficult to find areas to operate. For me the use of drones is both a pleasure and business. They have opened up a whole new way of doing things. The industry is growing very fast and the tools of the trade are powerful and improving at a very fast rate. In the < 2 Kg class of drone I think the P4P+ rules the roost. The water proof drone is great but I believe is just outside this class. For ease of use, huge list of features and high quality output, I find the P4P+ is such an amazing piece of equipment it could easily be classed as the product of the decade. Well done DJI! Stay High!
