Perth's largest drone show has just taken place with remarkable success. The 500 strong drone show was the centre piece of Western Australia's WA Day celebrations backed by an epic local playlist of music.

The drones took to the sky in an exciting show, displaying important Western Australian images and symbols, including a Swan, the WA flag, the WA Day logo, a whale shark, a rainbow, a ballet dancer, indigenous animals, and a footy going through goal posts. The drone show was put on by the talented Drone Sky Shows team headed up by Josh Van Ross.

After the drones landed a short fireworks display took place, adding to the drone show and complimenting nicely.

A reimagined WA Day Festival returns in 2022, with a stacked WA live music line-up, the state’s biggest drone light show, talented musicians performing live and world class food and wine to enjoy. Come and experience everything that makes WA such a great place to live. Proudly supported by BHP, The State Government of Western Australia and Lotterywest.

This isn't actually the first drone show for Perth, with two more already in the books. One that spread across multiple locations across Perth in celebration of first stories of Whadjuk Nyoongar Country.

The second, and more recent show, took place at Elizabeth Quay and celebrated the 60th anniversary of astronaut John Glenn’s memorable triple orbit of Earth in the Friendship 7 spacecraft back in 1962. This show was also done by the team at Drone Sky Shows Australia.

Check out the other drone light shows Australia has seen in Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Sydney. We can't wait to see more drone shows hit the skies!
